Jesse Panger was born and raised in Minneapolis, and hopes to return there someday after completing his graduate program. Jesse attended UW-Madison for his undergraduate program, where he worked with Ive Hermans on the Oxidative Dehydrogenation of light hydrocarbons. In the Denmark lab, he has transitioned into Lewis Base functionalization that was originally pioneered by this group. In his spare time, he is an avid brewer, cyclist, and he enjoys time on boats and sailing.
