I was Born in Birjand, Iran, and grew up in a family of great respect for education, with my mother a high school teacher and my father a professor of Physics . I graduated from Khajeh Nasir Toosi University, Tehran Iran, with a PhD in Organic Chemistry with Computational focus. I then rejoined Prof. Lu’s group at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville (SIUe), to get an integrated second master (my first master is in organic chemistry) in physics-Chemistry.  I then taught as a chemistry adjunct at multiple universities and Community Colleges in and around St. Louis for two years while I did research as a research affiliate with SIUe before joining Prof. Scott’s Group at Champaign with a mission to study catalysis and organo-catalysis using machine learning and computational chemistry. I am huge fan of chemical Models and my main motivation for chemistry goes to Conformational Analysis. Chemistry is my passion and I enjoy rock Climbing, Chess and Origami as well as hiking and amateur astronomy.
