Binh was born in a coastal town in Phu Yen, Vietnam. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree at Kyung Hee University (South Korea), he continued his research as a postdoctoral researcher at Stockholm University (Sweden) and the University of Pittsburgh (USA). His research focused on applications of computational methods (DFT, MD, and QM/MM) and data analysis tools for mechanistic insight and computer-aided catalyst/enzyme design. In 2024, he joined the group of Professor Denmark as a postdoctoral researcher to continue his research in catalyst optimization using data-driven/ machine learning modeling. Outside the lab, Binh loves traveling/playing with his family and enjoys food cooked by his spouse.
